Sietle (JAV) vadovaudamas 96 mokslininkų komandai, jis ištyrė 1610 ebolos genomų. Jų tyrimo išvados buvo išspausdintos prestižiniame mokslo žurnale Nature.
Egzistuoja realybė, kurioje viskas galėjo būti kitaip. „Virusų gyku“ save vadinantis Dudas užaugo Vilniaus Žirmūnų mikrorajone, mokslą matydamas kaip antraeilį prioritetą norint įgauti socialinį statusą. NARA podkastui jis pirmą kartą pasakoja savo istoriją lietuviškai.
